Privacy Policy
This policy covers locksmith-connections.com and the dispatch service reached through the phone numbers
on it, operated by Locksmith Connections.
What we collect
- What you tell the dispatcher. Your name, phone number, the address or location of the job,
and what needs doing. For vehicles, the year, make and model.
- Call records. Calls to our dispatch numbers may be recorded for training and for resolving
disputes about a job. You are told this at the start of the call.
- Site usage. Which page you landed on, whether you tapped a call button, whether you were on a
phone or a computer, the page that referred you, and the Google Ads click identifier if you arrived
from an advertisement. We do not collect your name or your address from the website itself — there is
no form on it.
- Cookies. One cookie of our own, which remembers which version of a page you were shown so
that the two versions can be compared. Google Analytics and Google Ads set their own.
Text messages
We text customers about their own jobs. If you give a dispatcher your mobile number, we may send
you text messages about that job — confirming it, telling you the locksmith is on the way, or following
up afterwards to check the work was done properly. Your consent to receive text messages is not a
condition of any purchase.
- These are service messages about a job you asked for. We do not send marketing texts.
- Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us. Message and data rates may apply,
depending on your carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. After you reply STOP we send one
confirmation message and will not text you again unless you opt back in. Stopping texts does not stop
us calling you about an active job.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us on (240) 673-3118 or
locksmithconnections@gmail.com.
- We do not sell, share or rent mobile numbers with anyone for their own marketing. Text messaging
originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We record telephone calls
Calls to and from our dispatch numbers are recorded for quality and training purposes. Recordings are
held on our telephone system and are not published.
Who we share it with
- The independent locksmith we dispatch gets your name, phone number, location and what the job
is. They cannot do the job without it.
- Our service providers — the telephone, messaging and hosting companies that carry the calls,
texts and pages. They act on our instructions.
- Google receives site usage through Google Analytics and Google Ads, including whether a call
button was tapped, so that advertising can be measured. Google's own policy for this is at
policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
We also upload customer phone numbers and email addresses to Google in a hashed form, so that our
advertising reaches people who have used us before. We do not sell customer information.
- We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Job records, including call recordings and messages, are kept while they may be needed to resolve a
question about the work, and then deleted. Site usage data is kept in aggregate.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to stop text messages.
- Turn off cookies in your browser. The pages still work.
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's own browser add-on.
Your rights over your information
Call the number on the page you arrived on, or contact us using the details below, and we
will:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct it if it is wrong.
- Delete it, unless we are required to keep it — for example while a dispute about a job is
still open.
- Stop using it for anything you object to, or restrict what we do with it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, including consent to text messages.
We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Server logs
Like every website, ours records the standard information a web server logs: the IP address making the
request, the browser and operating system, the date and time, and which page was asked for. This is used
to keep the site working and to understand traffic in aggregate. It is not connected to your name.
Other websites
This policy covers this site only. Where we link elsewhere, or where a third party such as Google sets
its own cookies, their policies apply to what they collect and we have no control over it.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
